Strategies to get the optimal vacation home experience:
When to book a Havelock rental home & When to go:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many rental management companies supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the best vacation home in Atlantic Beach:
- Start by having your family decide on the best dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 2 Bed, 2 Bath Oceanfront Condo at Island Beach & Racquet Club ~2025 Updates~ has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often available online. If not, email or call the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's an individual Havelock attraction you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
