Located at the highly sought after area of the island called the Point.

We completely made over both sides of this property in 2018 (East and West) including a new saltwater pool (shared between east and west sides of duplex), quartz counter tops, linens, appliances, paint, and floor throughout. SEE the NEW PHOTOS!

NEW in 2024!!! We have constructed a boardwalk all the way to the beach. Now it is even easier getting all of your beach gear out to the water.

You will adore the private walkway to the beach, deck overlooking a private pool (shared by both sides of duplex), ceiling fans in every room, covered parking, Wi-Fi, and Intelligent TVs in every room.

NEWLY ADDED enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water and NEW area to play cornhole. (Added in 2021)

Spend your days on the biggest section of the beach right out your door or relax in the private pool for a change before retiring into the roomy and beachy amenities that the “Rustic Peacock” has to offer.

Being at the Point offers the option to play on the beach, picking up shells or walk around the inlet and discover the Sound.

Emerald Isle faces south so you have unobstructed vistas of the SUNRISE AND SUNSET from your upper and lower decks!

Watching dolphins swim and play in the surf is another favorite pastime.

About the Area

Located on the beach, this vacation home is in The Point, a neighborhood in Emerald Isle. Emerald Forest Golf and Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those in the mood for shopping can visit Emerald Plantation and Salty Air Open Market. Salty Pirate Water Park and Emerald Isle Adventures are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

How to book the best Havelock rental experience:

Getting the best value:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the largest rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Havelock restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on local accommodations, tours and attractions.

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.

  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before you reserve your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your contract.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • During arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
