When to visit & When to book:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Beaufort. Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses.   • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback.
