How to get the best Atlantic Beach rental home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Book your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Owners sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking a perfect Havelock rental home:
- Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Impeccable home w\/ pool on the desirable Ocean Ridge Drive of Atlantic Beach, NC has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly available online. If not, reach out to the property management company before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is best for your vacation family.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or applied to your agreement.
- Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Some things to know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- At Check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
