How to find the best Havelock rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summer is high season in the Havelock area. Booking your Havelock vacation home in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many property management companies supply Havelock area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Large oceanside home w\/elevator located at the Point in Emerald Isle! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, email the host before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
During your stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
