Tips and Tricks to get the optimal rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in the Havelock area. Book your Havelock rental home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies supply Havelock area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • To start, have your group decide on the best dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Sweet Caroline coastal home Beaufort, NC 28516 in Beau Coast Comm master on main has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
  • Does your group require unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
