Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Havelock rental experience:
When to go & When to book:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Havelock area. To get the best value, consider changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Havelock area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.
How to choose the perfect rental:
- Begin by choosing a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Video Overview - EV Charger, Pool, Fishing, Park. Built in 2022. has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If not, reach out to the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is best for your family.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. message the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
