Booking the best Havelock vacation property experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Havelock rental home:
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Havelock area. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Havelock area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your rental search:
- To start, have your family select the best dates and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Mulberry Cottage 5 Blocks to Beaufort Waterfront - 205\/ 1-2, 295 for 3\/4 people has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If not, contact the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs applied to your invoice.
- If there's a certain Havelock destination you simply love, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
Advice for your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- During arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
