Beaufort rental home booking tips and tricks:
Finding your best deal:
- Book your Havelock vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- In the Havelock area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Havelock visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have discounts for local accommodations and attractions.

- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a certain Havelock destination you are crazy about, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
Additional considerations:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the property manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
