We rent to family groups, married couples, or mature adults over the age of 25. We do not, under any circumstances, rent to groups for proms, graduations, college home events, etc. Misrepresentation will result in immediate eviction without refund.

** TWO OPTIONS FOR DAMAGE PROTECTION **
1. Damage Protection Insurance – For an additional $79.00, this plan covers up to $3,000 in unintentional damages to the rental unit that may occur during your stay. Report the damage to us, we’ll take care of the rest!
2. Security Deposit - $750 is immediately charged at time of booking. If the property is left undamaged, keys & parking passes returned, your security deposit will be refunded within 45 days after check out.

When to visit & When to reserve a Pine Knoll Shores rental home:

  • Summertime is high season in Pine Knoll Shores. To find the best vacation home within your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Havelock restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Havelock area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.

During your stay:

  • Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
