Tips to get the best rental experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- Booking your Havelock vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Havelock area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to select the best vacation home in Atlantic Beach:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Reel Paradise is a waterfront Condo with a deep water boat slip has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's an individual Havelock attraction you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
Know before you go:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- Upon check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
