About this Property
- Sleeps 10
- 4 Bedrooms
- 7 Bathrooms
- Private vacation home
Accommodations: Oceanfront Duplex with 4 Bedrooms, 4 BA,( two ensuite). Sleeps 10 per side. An additional bathroom is being added this winter as well as an upstairs laundry room. Adding a modest walk out deck from the upstairs master suite to be able to have even more handsome viewing. New photos coming soon with updates that have already been finished.
Escape to my economical oceanfront duplex that has gorgeous oceanfront vistas. Since I became sole owner of the East side of my duplex I have been doing updates every year. I have had nearly the entire duplex painted from a tired yellow to relaxing blue tones. I have put in new appliances, furnishings, granite counter tops, resurfaced the tubs, put in a kitchen tiled backsplash, added LED lighting in the kitchen and under the countertops, changed out light fixtures in bathrooms, put in new vanities, put in a new air compressor, and many other updates. This year I am hoping to add on another bathroom so that it will be 4 bedroom 4 bathroom duplex. Awaiting bids right now and hope to start remodeling in January.
The home has a bright, airy, bungalow feel and is a ideal place to relax. Admire the view from the inside or step outside onto the covered porch to catch an oceanfront breeze sitting in one of the 4 rocking chairs on the deck. There is also a dune landing steps from the beach with a bench and more amazing vistas. Due to Emerald Isle's restricted off street parking the handsome beaches are never busy.
Conveniences also include hi-speed wireless service, outdoor shower and washer/dryer. There will access to washer and dryers. The one inside the home as well as a shared one downstairs under the main living area.
Additional Information: Emerald Isle's unique location affords homes on the island both striking sunrises and sunsets. Our home is located at the end of a no-through street so there is no traffic. The home is located mins. from eateries, shopping, golf, kayaking, movie theaters, fishing, cycling, water slide parks, pickleball, tennis, basketball courts, an aquarium and many other activities. Other interests in the area include visits to historic Beaufort, Fort Macon, Swansboro, 1/2 or full day trips to Hammocks Beach State Park or Cape Look Out. (Both of these islands do not have any homes or commercial development and have great shelling.)
Units are Sunday-Sunday. There is no smoking policy and no family pets are allowed. You must be at least 25 years old to rent the property. Prices listed are for weekly units. Nightly units are available off season or last min. during prime season if a week opens up. Note: Prices are subject to change without notice until confirmed.
I am always happy to give my guests information on area eateries and local spots to see.

How to find the best Emerald Isle vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are high season in Emerald Isle. To get the largest vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Havelock restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- In the Havelock area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by choosing a vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Oceanfront Duplex with Gorgeous Views 4BR 4 BA! has 4 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. Otherwise, call the host before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
- Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your agreement.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the owner's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Document any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
