How to find the best Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Havelock area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Havelock area. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Begin by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Oceanfront, First-Floor Condo with Balcony, Ocean View & Shared Pools\/Tennis has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to drive new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
