We are located directly on the Atlantic Ocean with spectacular vistas of sunrises in the east and sunsets in the west. No Wake Zone East provides all the needed amenities plus those that only God can provide . . . again the sunrises and sunsets, the smell of the salt air, pretty waves, soft sand, pelican fly-overs, and the bountiful and unique shells that wash up on shore.
Every time of the year is special and there is no bad day at the beach. We've appreciated the strong winds and powerful waves during tropical storms, the magnificant hot days of summer, and the calming cool days of autumn. The mere sound of the ocean waves brings a calmness to weary travelers. It's nice to go to sleep and wake up to the steady rhythm of the Atlantic Ocean.

Our top Rental home booking tips:
Find your perfect rental home:
- Summer time is high season in Emerald Isle. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Havelock visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Selecting the best rental in the Havelock area:
- To start, have your family agree to date ranges and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Oceanfront Sanctuary-Relax & Recharge-5BR 3BA -Great Island Location! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or may be applied to your contract.
More considerations:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
