Julie:
"This was a ideal home. Great location. Walking distance to the beach. Entirely supplied with so many extras from toiletries, and family games, to cleaning supplies. The beds were so comfortable. Clean. And when we needed to communicate with the host, he was readily available for us every time. The photos in the listing are exactly what you get. Recommend reservations, at “Amos Mosquito” right down the street for a meal. And the restaurant, “Southern Salt” was another favorite we discovered. Wonderful stay. Would recommend."
Anna:

The home was supplied with everything we needed, from beach toys and chairs to a high chair, bug spray, kitchen essentials, and everything in between. Michael was magnificent at communicating with us, as well!"

Tricks and tips to get the perfect Havelock rental home experience:
When to book a Havelock rental home & When to go:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. Book your rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Havelock visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Narrow your Search:
- Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Not Your Typical Beach Rental Fully Stocked House has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's an individual Havelock attraction you are enamored with, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More considerations:
- Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
