Julie:
"This was a ideal home. Great location. Walking distance to the beach. Totally supplied with so many extras from toiletries, and family games, to cleaning supplies. The beds were so comfortable. Clean. And when we needed to communicate with the host, he was readily available for us every time. The photos in the listing are exactly what you get. Recommend reservations, at “Amos Mosquito” right down the street for a meal. And the restaurant, “Southern Salt” was another favorite we discovered. Wonderful stay. Would recommend."
Anna:

Brittany:
"Our stay at this beach home was amazing! We adored the location, furnishings, and amenities. The home was outfitted with everything we needed, from beach toys and chairs to a high chair, bug spray, kitchen essentials, and everything in between. Michael was amazing at communicating with us, as well!"

"Our family loves Atlantic Beach. We had been here before and wanted to bring more family down to share the marvelous experience. We needed a home big enough and comfortable for 10 people. The location was ideal. The beds were cozy. Porches for all to enjoy with great vistas. Well supplied for our needs. And Michael was sure to check in with us to make sure everything was up to our expectations. Great find!"

Our top Vacation rental home tips:
When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:
- Booking in Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Not Your Typical Beach Rental Fully Stocked House has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the rental manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
