Strategies to get the perfect Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • In the Havelock area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Havelock area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to choose and book yourrental home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Quiet and quaint beach home with easy walking access to the ocean and sound side has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you book the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a particular Havelock beach you long to visit, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the property manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
