Our top Rental home tips and tricks:

Finding the best rental value:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
  • Some owners offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Havelock area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Selecting the best rental:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. RARE \"DOUBLE UNIT\" BEAUTIFUL Deluxe Studio Condo just steps to the ocean! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property owner before you book the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking

More tips for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the host right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
