Finding the best Beaufort rental home experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Beaufort. To get the most suitable vacation home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select vacation dates and max budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Beaufort Star! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- If there's a particular Havelock attraction you simply love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
More tips for your visit:
- Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute arises.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
