Finding the best Atlantic Beach rental home experience:
Get the best value:
- Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your search:
- Start by selecting your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Lovely townhouse steps from the beach has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before booking the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what is best for your vacation family.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your agreement.
During your stay:
- Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a wonderful time? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
