Tips to get the perfect Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Havelock vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitor guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the perfect vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:
- Select a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Sea's the Day-Oceanfront Home, Private Pool! has 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available online. If they are not listed, call the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your trip.
- If there's an individual Havelock attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the host's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.

- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
