Tricks and tips to get the optimal vacation rental experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- In the Havelock area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserve your vacation in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area travel guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Narrow your Search:

- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Steps to the beach! Hear the waves & feel the breeze! Your home away from home! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a specific Havelock attraction you are crazy about, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
