2 bedroom top-floor condo at Peppertree Atlantic Beach Resort, right on the ocean. Beachfront building 18: SEE MAP in PHOTO Section. Full kitchen, elevator, full resort activities, minigolf, indoor+outdoor pools, hot tub, tennis, washer/dryer. Walk to movie theaters, grocery, eateries, surf stores, and retail. Down to studs reno & update in 2020. Sleeps 6 (King+2 Twins+Queen Sofabed, or 7-8 if you bring an air bed to fit in twin room; worked with family of 8 once). Prime location @resort. Great for families, extended families, or just adults on vacation. Just 60 seconds walking to the beach access path.
We have multiple positive reviews on Airb&b for this property, but are also freshly on Vacation Rental By Owner. But you can find our same property with about 10 reviews there.
**Our preference is to rent out our 7 day week to guests that want it for the entire 7 days from Friday to Friday. If you wish to rent for less than 7 nights and check in or check out on other days, please feel complimentary to message and let us know what you want. The weekend nights of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are the most expensive nights, and if we only rent for those, it leaves the other weekday nights as the only remaining nights which are harder for us to rent.**
Full blown beach resort. Reviews are on trip advisor. Delightful wooded area with paths and walkways, and then a bigger open area closer to the beach. Great for families or groups. Lots of kids activities like a kiddie pool, sprayground/splashpad, playground, basketball court, mini-golf, hammocks, gym/exercise center. On site activities department provides tons of options for families and individuals to participate in special events, pig pickin', scavenger hunts, crafts, games, introductions to local attractions. Super convenient, and this is the prime condo location within the resort.
complimentary parking for max of 2 cars (you'll get up to 2 parking passes), walking distance to grocery, movies, eateries, and shopping at Atlantic Station. 5 mins. to Morehead City waterfront, 12 mins. to historic Beaufort.
Super convenient and brand new 2020 completely REBUILT (down to the studs) after 2018 hurricane. Renovated and refreshed 2 bedroom condo at Peppertree oceanfront resort. Top floor beachfront ocean location, so no noisy upstairs neighbors! Elevator and bags carts for groceries, beach stuff, and suitcases. Master bedroom (King bed) with master bathroom, granite double vanity, tub & shower, 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds, and living area has pull out full sized sofabed. 3 flat screen TVs with cable, one in each room, complimentary wifi, entirely equipped granite counter kitchen, resort activities. 3 pools including one indoor and two outdoors, plus splash pad / sprayground plus hot tub. Go downstairs and in 60 seconds you'll be on the beach walkway. This is a VERY family friendly place. Why just rent a beach home when you can get an entire resort for the same rate?
The washers and dryers in the laundry center are now COMPLIMENTARY for all guests.
Please note that our photos have a range of years shown in the view towards the ocean from the condo. The photo captions reflect the growth and popularity of our resort beachfront location, and in addition to some showing the legacy view before 2018, they also show a handful of new single family homes constructed since the 2018 hurricane. These new homes on the dunes are adjacent to the beach access walkway. It's still an exceptional view to the ocean and walk is just as painless to get to the sand, but we wanted to fully disclose why the photos range from completely unobstructed to more homes on the dunes. And we also wanted to show how after the hurricane rebuild, that the beach access path and shelter look different compared to the main listing photo.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our condo is located beachfront in Phase 2 (buildings 15-25)
The other Peppertree listing here on Airb&b (not mine) is for Phase 3 (buildings 26-33) and located rather a walk from the beach in the mosquito/swampy tree area close to the highway. The Phase 3 building style looks very "motel / motor court" type of accommodations much like Motel 6 where you park 3 feet from your front door, rather than a "beach condo." The other listing will not indicate that's where your condo will be, but if you are booking for the Summer, you will 100% be booked there despite where the website price tag appears on the map.
To avoid being disappointed and wanting to cancel an alternate booking, ask the host EXACTLY which condo building and floor you are booking BEFORE you purchase, and compare it to the building map in photos here. I can promise you our condo is EXACTLY as posted at building 18, top floor, and that we personally took the photos. Just saying, watch out.
Read the booking reviews for the cheaper options ("2 Bedroom Atlantic Beach Condo with Beach Access" and "hosted by Kevin" ) and you'll see complaints like "no view" "surrounded by trees" "long walk to beach". I stopped counting after 15 different reviews said "not the condo from the photos in the listing" for that listing. Book it and you will be WAY far in the back of the resort next to the road when booking summer time thru that listing or those stating Wyndham/Ramada reservations.
Sometimes the other sites will appear to list this resort as Wyndham/Ramada but that's just using their reservations platform to offer inventory in the worst section of the resort. The property itself is in no way a Wyndham or a Ramada property and is not affiliated with those chains in any way. Virtually all of the other cheaper "Atlantic Beach Resort - A Ramada by Wyndham" listings are the Phase 3 buildings in the mosquito woods with no balconies and far from the beach.
2024 is our 3rd season on Vacation Rental By Owner for this property but multiple reviews on airb&b for my exact same property over the past 10 summers. We only rent out one week per year so there will never be a ton of reviews. Building 18, top floor.
Feel complimentary to contact me with any questions!

Tips and Tricks for getting the best rental home experience:
When to reserve a Havelock rental & When to go:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the best value, try shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Filter your search:
- Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 2 Bedroom Ocean Resort Condo Peppertree Renovated sleeps 6 in 4 beds has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
- Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
More considerations:
- Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of issues.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
