Tricks and tips for getting the best vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer months are high season in the Havelock area. Booking your Havelock vacation home in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, selecting, and booking the perfect Havelock rental home:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Suncatcher- Ocean Front Home in Atlantic Beach, NC has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • During check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
