Havelock rental home booking tips and tricks:
When to visit Beaufort & When to reserve a rental home:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Havelock area. Book your Havelock rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Havelock area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- First, have your group decide on trip dates and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Sunset Bay Retreat- Sound Front Home with Dock has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- If there's a specific Havelock destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
- Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Add the host's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Upon arrival, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
