Tips and Tricks to get the best rental experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Havelock area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself.
