- Private vacation home
Stay at our beach home and recharge your batteries! Our home's vibe is coastal bungalow and feels calming and comfortable. Ideal for couples who want a charming hideaway or families who wish to reconnect. Our back deck has a gas grille, sizable dining table and cushioned seating for calming. The private backyard offers additional space for the family. We are a fast 5 min walk to the beach where you can hunt for shells, build a sand castle, or just sunbathe on the soft white sand. Go for a swim or body board in our warm ocean. Lots of people also like to fish and watch the sunsets at the Point (where the ocean and intercoastal waters meet). There are tons of eateries right on the island and we are also a short 15 min drive to the cozy downtown of Swansboro with more eateries and shopping. Other things to do close by: kayak and sup units, fishing (pier, beach, boat), movie theater, mini-golf, go-carting, sunset cruises and environmental cruises, modest water park, bowling, NC aquarium, and more.

Booking the best Havelock vacation home experience:
How to get the best value:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Emerald Isle. Reserve your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Havelock area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Planning and picking your Havelock rental home:
- Choose dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Walk to beach! Emerald Isle beach home with cozy vibe and room for the family. has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, call the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is right for your vacation family.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
More considerations:
- Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute arises.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
