Tips and Tricks to get the best Havelock rental home experience:
Sticking to a budget:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. To find the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Havelock restaurants and activities.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and pick your Havelock rental:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Beachfront home with ocean-view balcony, two pools, waterslide, & beach access has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
