Finding your perfect rental home:

  • In the Havelock area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.

Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.

  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
