Vacation rental tips and tricks:
When to visit Emerald Isle & When to book:
- Summer is high season in Emerald Isle. Booking your Havelock vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- In the Havelock area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, management companies supply Havelock area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Start by selecting your a vacation week and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Wonderful Updated Pebble Beach 3BD 2BA Oceanview Condo E202, Emerald Isle, NC has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
Tips for a smooth stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the property manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
