Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Havelock vacation rental experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- Summertime is high season in Emerald Isle. To find the best value, try changing your family's Havelock vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the perfect rental in the Havelock area:
- First and foremost, have your group commit to trip dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Wonderful Updated Pebble Beach 3BD 2BA Oceanview Condo E202, Emerald Isle, NC has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Advice for a terrific stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Upon check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of problems.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
