Tricks and tips for getting the perfect rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- To get the largest rental home for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Havelock restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies supply Havelock area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 2 Bed, 2 Bath Oceanfront Condo at Island Beach & Racquet Club has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
