Havelock rental home tips:
When to book & When to go:
- In the Havelock area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Havelock area. Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Havelock area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Finding the best rental home:
- Begin by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Coastal Charm located in Beaufort NC has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you book the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
- If there's an individual Havelock beach you love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of problems.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
