How to book the best Havelock vacation rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- In the Havelock area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- To find the best value, try shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area travel guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

- Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review.
