This comfortable oceanfront home awaits you in the secluded sea to sound community of Beacon's Reach. It is a outstanding gathering place for family and friends. Many lifetime memories will be made here, and we invite you to join in the fun! Just steps down the private boardwalk from your back door, the beach invites you to walk, swim, fish and sunbathe. Appreciate morning coffee watching dolphins and shorebirds from your private deck. Here barefoot is best, with sandy toes, and doing nothing is okay. Unwind by walking the beach, sunbathing, gathering shells and end the ideal day as you listen to the sound of the ocean lull you to sleep. For the 2015 season we have added a six (6) seat hot tub and new ground level entertainment deck.
This three-level 3,500 square foot home welcomes guests of all ages, it was designed to be a family home so is both kid and adult friendly. The elevator provides simple access for older or handicapped persons and is a blessing when moving in. The enormous kitchen and eating area have ocean vistas as does the upstairs master bedroom and cavernous family gathering room. There is plenty of space for folks to prepare or just hang out at the elegant bar and tons of places for kids and young adults to play without being underfoot. The family room has a 51' flat screen and all four bedrooms have either a 32' or 46'. There is a roomy outside deck with a huge teak dining table and a gas grille. The end of the boardwalk finds you at the oceanside deck and multiple steps to the peaceful beach, where you will find the ideal place to simply appreciate the beauty of the seashore.
If you choose to venture farther than your beach chair you'll discover plenty of activities and attractions on Bogue Banks, all within a few mins. drive. If you head straight east through Pine Knoll Shores, on the eastern tip of the island (about a 10 min. drive) stands Fort Macon, a restored and freshly-refurbished pre-Civil War fortress, the most-visited State park in North Carolina. Discover the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, located about two miles down the road in the Roosevelt Natural Area. Driving west, you will encounter the modest fishing villages of Salter Path and Indian Beach and at the far western end of the island, the community of Emerald Isle.

Tricks and tips to get the optimal vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Havelock area. To find the best value, change your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Havelock area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to select the best rental home in the Havelock area:
- Start by choosing a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Beacon's Reach Oceanfront 4BD\/4.5BA w\/elevator. Hot Tub, Pools & Tennis Courts has 4 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your contract.
Have a great stay:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
