Allow yourself to drift away from your everyday anxiety in one of the two outdoor swimming pools, or take a walk down to the beach and dip your toes in the water. It’s the ideal place for a vacation, close to area amusements with picnic areas and grilles on-site.
Southwinds A-16 is a charmingly decorated condo on the third floor with an extraordinary oceanfront view. Cozy up on the living room sleeper couch and catch up on your favorite shows or movies on the flatscreen TV and DVD player. The entirely equipped kitchen and dining area is great for family meals together; you could also have a picnic on the oceanfront balcony and watch the waves come crashing in.
After a long day of making sandcastles and moats, you can toss your swimsuits and beach towels in the stacked washer/dryer so they'll be ready for the next day. The kids can retire to their twin beds as you watch a little TV in the primary bedroom with a private bathroom that has constructed-in tile shower. Free WiFi is included as well.

Atlantic Beach rental home booking tips and tricks:
Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. Reserve your rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to select the perfect rental in Atlantic Beach:
- Choose your vacation week and max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Beautifully Remodeled, Oceanfront, 3rd-Floor Condo with Balcony & Shared Pools has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property manager before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your contract.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
