Tips to get the very best Havelock vacation rental experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Havelock area. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have discounts for local shops and restaurants.
How to choose and book a perfectvacation home:
- Choose dates and budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Bright, sunny, beautifully decorated one-bedroom condo overlooking the pool. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
- If there's a certain Havelock attraction you simply love, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
More tips for your visit:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- At Check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your life at home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
