Tips to get the perfect Havelock rental experience:

When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to book:

  • In the Havelock area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer is high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by having your family agree to vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Chateau Relaxo Duex- Remodeled Pool View Condo with Direct Beach & Sound Access has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Additional considerations:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Call the property manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
