Come spend some time at charming Atlantic Beach. Stay a week or just a weekend; either way you won't be disappointed. Atlantic Beach offers a peaceful family-friendly ambiance but still offers plenty to do, such as a visit to Fort Macon, browsing local stores, dining out, movies, fishing, boating, or just hanging by the pool. There is also an aquarium less than 10 mins. away and there are appealing neighboring towns like Morehead City and Beaufort that are great to walkabout, exploring the stores and trying out new eateries. If you want a little adventure, there are boat tours and day trips to close by islands where you can go shelling, see wild horses or just spend the day calming.

The condo is located at Bogue Shores Condominiums. Bogue Shores is a modest two-story building that sits on the Bogue Sound and is right across the street from the beach. There is a sizable pool and separately enclosed infant pool on the property, as well as grilles, a gazebo, a fishing dock and boat launch ramp. There is also a pathway with a pedestrian crosswalk that takes you directly from the property across the street to the beach.

The condo was just refreshed from top to bottom and is very clean. We take very good care of it and hope that you will too. The condo is one room, like a hotel room, with a bathroom and full kitchenette. There are two queen beds. Ideally 2-3 people would fit most comfortably, but 4 is the max.. The bathroom is modest and has a standup shower only. The kitchenette has a full size refrigerator, electric stovetop (no oven), microwave, toaster oven, Keurig, dishes, pots, pans, silverware, etc. There is a enormous flat-screen TV with cable and wifi available for your use. With linens and towels being supplied for you, and the condo being equipped with essentially everything you need, we make packing and planning very simple on you! Checking out is also a breeze! For the most part, all you have to do is pack up your stuff and head out! Leave the cleaning to us!

How do I check in?
There is a lockbox on the door and you will be included the code on your check in day.

When is check in?
Normal check in time is 4pm, but I always offer early check in when possible. If I can offer an early check in, I will let you know.

Where do I park?
You can park anywhere other than in the boat parking section. Parking passes must be kept on your dashboard. They are located inside the unit.

About the Area

Located in Atlantic Beach, this condo is near the beach. Fort Macon State Park and Beaufort Historic Site are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway. Traveling with kids? Consider North Carolina Maritime Museum, or check out an event or a game at Big Rock Stadium.

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. To book the most suitable rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Havelock area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations.   • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
