Booking the best Havelock rental experience:
Finding the best value:
- In the Havelock area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best value, change your family's Havelock vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Some owners offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Havelock area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have deals for nearby shops and restaurants.
Finding the perfect vacation home in Atlantic Beach:
- First and foremost, have your family choose the best dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Cozy Condo renovated 2021 for your family! Waterslide, indoor pool&Putt Putt. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation group.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
- Looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many issues.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
- During arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
