Havelock rental booking tips:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in the Havelock area. Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Havelock visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to select the perfect vacation home in Emerald Isle:
- Start by having your group commit to vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Emerald Isle Brand New Luxury Condo! Steps to Beach, Direct Beach Access! Pool! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the host before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what is best for your vacation group.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Does your family require specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
Advice for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the host immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
