At the end of the hall is the ample screened porch with a dining area overlooking the private pool. The paved pool deck offers a dining area and tons of room for calming in the sun.
On the 2nd level of the home is the rec-room with a full size pool table, a card table, a seating area with Queen sleeper couch and flat screen TV. A full bath is located off a hall area separating the rec-room from the comfortable den with a daybed and trundle.
The beach access and community pool are located at the corner of Shipwreck Lane and Louise Howard Court. This would be roughly a 10-15 min. walk from Sunnyside Up or an even faster golf cart ride! There is parking for the cart at the beach access.

How to find the best Havelock rental home experience:
How to get the best value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Emerald Isle. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Planning and choosing your prefect Havelock vacation home:
- Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Pet Friendly, Oceanside Interior Home Private Pool, Golf Cart, and Easy Access. has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Does your family require special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Have a wonderful stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- At Check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
