How to book the best Atlantic Beach rental home experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. Booking in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
  • In the Havelock area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain money saving offers on local tours and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Start by choosing your vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Remodeled, 2nd-Floor, Oceanfront Condo with Ocean View & Shared Pools\/Hot Tub has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
