How to book the best Havelock rental home experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- June, July, and August are high season in Emerald Isle. To find the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Havelock area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.
Make a plan and pick the perfect Havelock vacation home:
- Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Aurora East, Oceanfront Duplex in Emerald Isle, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. Otherwise, email the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- If there's a particular Havelock attraction you love, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
Advice for your stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Make a record of any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a great vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
