Our top Atlantic Beach vacation rental tips and tricks:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Havelock area. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Many property management companies supply Havelock area visitors guides that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose the perfect rental home in the Havelock area:
- Start by having your family decide on vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Beautiful Oceanfront, 6th Floor Villa at Grande Villas Resort has 2 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Make a record of any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
