How to find the best Havelock vacation property experience:
When to book a Havelock rental & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Havelock area. Booking in Fall or Spring months is an excellent way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
- In the Havelock area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Havelock area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have money saving offers on local shops and restaurants.
Selecting the perfect rental in the Havelock area:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. OCEANSIDE CONDO WITH GREAT DECK VIEWS has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation family.
- If there's a specific Havelock attraction you crave, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a great time? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
