Tips for getting the perfect Pine Knoll Shores vacation rental experience:
Finding your best deal:
- Summer months are high season in Pine Knoll Shores. To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, , and reduced traffic.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local Havelock area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Planning, picking, and booking your prefect Havelock vacation home:
- Select your dates and budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Coral Shores #22, Oceanfront Condo in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the host before reserving the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is right for your family.
- Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
Know before you go:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the host immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
