Vacation rental home tips and tricks:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- Booking your Havelock vacation home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
- In the Havelock area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Finding the best rental in Atlantic Beach:
- Choose dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. My Shell B - Beach views\n\n has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property manager before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your trip.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
