Tricks and tips to get the perfect Havelock rental home experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Havelock rental home:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Havelock area. To get the best value, shift your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
How to pick the perfect vacation rental in the Havelock area:
- Choose your dates and budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Ocean Side Beach Condo in Family Friendly Community! Oceanfront pool!! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.

- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Tips for a great stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the host immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
