When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to book:
- In the Havelock area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Havelock vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area travel guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your rental search:
- First, have your group decide on vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Pelican Point, Oceanview Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. Otherwise, email the host before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Havelock attraction you are enamored with, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during check in. Speak to the rental manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
