Our top Rental property booking tips:

Get the best value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning and choosing the bestvacation home:

  • Begin by selecting trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Unit 179 is a 2 BR\/2 ba condo on 1ST floor overlooking the pool & courtyard. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Havelock beach you simply love, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. E-mail the rental manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
