Atlantic Beach rental home tips:
Finding your perfect rental:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many property management companies supply Havelock area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Unit 179 is a 2 BR\/2 ba condo on 1ST floor overlooking the pool & courtyard. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before reserving the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a specific Havelock beach you simply love, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Have a great stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're away. Protect your property!
- At Check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
